In our way of life today, most people don't carry around cash anymore. They carry checks, credit cards, or debit cards and hardly any cash. We had gotten away from carrying cash on us because if you happened to live in a bigger city, you might become the subject of being robbed. If this thing were to happen, you were just out of luck because that money would be gone.
With checks or even your credit or debit cards being taken, you might have a chance of not having your cards being used because they have pass codes that you have to know to be able to use them.
In today's time with people losing their jobs, some of these people have gone back to using cash for buying some things like their groceries or paying some of their smaller bills and using the debt cards for the rest. In some ways, it is just safer because if you happen to overdraft your account at the bank, you will have some really big fees and costs that you wouldn't have had if you used cash. Some people might only have the checking account there to cash their payroll checks, social security checks, or their income tax return checks if they are lucky to receive one.
In one's mind today, the only place that seems to have a lot of cash is the government. They seem to be able to get their hands on it at all times while the rest of us can't seem to get their hands on it at any given time. They are coming up with all this to bail out this company or the other while we seem to be losing ours at every turn. If we put our cash into the banks to use by writing a check or even using our debt card, if this account is already in trouble without the person using the account's knowledge, more of this cash might be lost. In someone's mind, this bank is robbing them of their hard earned money because of them taking these fees and charges before you knowing about the problem.
If you really feel safer using cash to pay for everything you buy or even when making payments, then do so but also you will need to make sure that not a lot of people know that you have all of this money on you. If you want to do this, you can put the money into the bank and then go and withdraw some to pay this bill or that so that you know exactly how much you have at all times. This will give you more control over your accounts and your cash.
