Why do we drink coffee? Just the other day I was attending a daylong seminar about the new policies my company is going to implement this month and the speaker went on in this monotonous, low pitched discussion about quality control projects – it was like she was intentionally lulling me to dream land. So yes, I drink coffee for its caffeine content to keep me awake during sleep-inducing tasks.
The United States' National Institute of Health recommends about three cups of coffee per day or a daily dose of 250 mg of caffeine. An average cup of brewed coffee (8 fl. ounces) contains about 80 – 135 mg of caffeine. Anything in excess can lead to side effects which may include palpitations, anxiety, insomnia, tremors, stomach upset and excessive urination.
Now here's the dilemma: Is there a way to stay alert and avoid the side effects of regular coffee? Yes, there is. It's called Ganoderma Coffee.
And there goes your eyebrow. Ganoderma coffee is made with a mixture of pure Ganoderma lucidum extract and good quality Brazilian coffee beans. I know that Ganoderma is still widely unknown in the west, but the Chinese have been using this medicinal mushroom for about 4000 years. Often called 'Reishi' in Japan and 'Ling zhi' in China it literally means Miraculous Plant of Longevity. Ganoderma coffee is also called healthy coffee because:
1.It only contains about 9 mg of caffeine per serving (compared to the average 80-135 mg per cup!)
2.Its pH is only 7.3 to 7.5 – neutral compared to regular coffees which has an acidic pH of 5.5. Why does pH matter? Most coffee drinkers suffer from hyperacidity which can be brought about by consuming too much coffee.
Did you know that G. lucidum is great for your immune system as well? A component called water soluble polysaccharides help your immune system perform better allowing it to recognize more invaders that usually escape its grasps. Also unlike regular coffee, ganoderma is known for its calming effect – which makes this therapeutic to those who are living with insomnia.
Ganoderma also has natural anti-hypertensive and anti-clotting properties that make it ideal for those who want to prevent heart attacks or stroke. Ganoderma Coffee is also a great way to detoxify your body. It can help you get rid of the waste that's lingering in your body by encouraging better and more regular elimination.
There are a number of physicians who prescribe ganoderma to their patients who are battling cancer and HIV. They believe its natural immune boosting property can help the body fight off tumors and abnormal cells. Cancer patients can also benefit from its nerve-calming effects to counteract the side effects of chemotherapy like nausea or numbness in the extremities.
So as you can see, coffee CAN be healthy as long as you choose the right kind and you don't have to get rid of caffeine in your diet. With Ganoderma coffee, you can get the best of both worlds plus more!
