The visual can attract the visitor but it is the text that gives information about the product or services. The two types of content instead of instead of repelling should support each other. There should be not difficulty for the visitor in relating the text content and visual content to each other. It is only when the text and visual content are in sync that the visitor is going to feel comfortable and finally buy the product.

In the case of the website, the success of the website is mainly dependent on the traffic as well. If there are no visitors what is use of having a beautiful and appealing website. While the text plays a pivotal role in the indexing of the search engine list, the visuals are usually ignored by them (search engine). Moreover, it is also possible that the visual may increase the load on the website and consequently increase the time duration of downloading.
The web design layout should be a balanced blend of text content and visual content to be successful.
