Shoes are important accessories to complete a man's wardrobe. A good shoe can make a simple outfit look marvelous. It compliments a dress beautifully. One can coordinate the different ensembles with the different kinds of shoes in his wardrobe and stand apart in he crowd for his dressing sense. Shoes can be man made or machine made from a variety of materials, such as leather, plastic, rubber, canvas, vinyl and so on.

Leather shoes made from various animal hide, are very popular as they are very comfortable and easy to maintain. We get a variety of leather shoes like buckled shoes, shoes with Velcro, which are similar to leather sandals.

Handmade shoes are not just comfortable and sturdy, but they are also unique as each pair is stitched for a specific buyer. You will not find similar shoes in anyone else's feet as you walk down the road. This exclusivity makes it expensive, but it is definitely worth it.

Stitching a shoe can be done in three very basic steps:

1. To begin with, the insole of the shoe should be attached to the surface of the last.

2. The upper sections should be attached to the insole and the last.

3. The sole should be attached to the upper.

The four basic parts of a shoe are, last, insoles, upper and sole. Together they make a complete shoe which can be worn with comfort and ease by buyers for every occasion and reason.

The upper part of the shoe can be made with a variety of materials, like leather from goats, pigs, cows and so on, denim material, polyester fabrics, canvas and so on which make the show look very trendy.

It is advisable to choose a handmade shoe, even if it costs more, as they are worth the money. They attach an exclusive designer tag to your ensemble which is a distinctive status symbol. Especially custom made shoes are not just publicity for the designer and the maker, but also for the buyer who is hailed as a fashion guru.

To learn more about shoe making, log onto the Internet and search for "shoe making", or "how to make shoes" phrases. The search engine will give you a variety of sites to learn from.

Most of us are interested in making shoes but due to lack of time, we prefer to buy handmade shoes, which are a little costlier than regular shoes. Making a shoe isn't all that difficult if you follow the right procedure. Making shoes can be a great hobby for individuals who have always enjoyed the quality that comes from hand made shoes.
