Have you recently had a break-up in your relationship and are wondering how you get back with your ex? You probably wanted to get back together as soon as the break-up happened and this is a common feeling.
If you are not careful, you can find yourself falling into depression and a "funk" that will be unbearable for you and everyone around you. You may even get so desperate that you call your ex constantly begging and pleading for them to come back. Take my word for it, this will not help or work. Your relationship will not get better using this tactic and will probably make things much worse. Too much contact with a needy, desperate attitude will only drive your ex further away.
The action you should really take at this stage of the break-up is just the opposite of what you are feeling. Feel like calling your ex? Do not do it. Feel like staying in the house or climbing under a rock? Then it is time to get out. Feeling like going in the closest and crying? Then it is time to do something fun that makes you happy. There are three basic steps that you can take that will answer your question of "how to get your ex back".
Step 1 - Accepting the break-up. Okay it is time to realize that the break-up has happened and you have to accept it. Admit to your ex that you are okay with the break-up and that you are moving past it. As the old saying goes "build a bridge and get over it." By letting your ex know that you have accepted the break-up, it takes the tension and stress levels away when communicating with your ex. You need to give your ex time to think about the relationship, and this will also give you time to consider your options. If your ex suddenly realizes that he or she really does miss you and love you, he or she will be back given time.
Step 2 - Slow down communications with your ex. Stop contacting your ex for a while. You should make an effort to cut off your communication with your ex giving them a "cooling off" and "thinking" period. This may be extremely difficult but it will work. This will build intrigue and make your ex think that you have moved on and are doing fine. As they say "absence makes the heart grow fonder." Your ex will start to remember the good times and the special feelings he or she had for you. He or she may start to realize how important you and the relationship was to him or her.
Step 3 - Start to formulate a plan for getting back together. Once you have completed the first two steps, you can start to get your plan together for when you will meet. The plan should include when to meet, where to meet and what to say when you do meet. Think about what your ex likes and dislikes. If he or she does not like coffee, then a coffee shop might not be the best place to meet. Your first meeting should not include blaming, begging, pleading, fighting or any other crazy emotion. It should take place somewhere nice and include civil communication. When the meeting does take place, consider the conversation to get an idea if your ex still loves you and the two of you can work out what it would take to get back together.
This is a good start to improve your chances of getting your ex back. Getting your ex back can be a little more complicated than just these three basic steps.
