In an internet marketing product, you should make a point that you should have "success by association". You should find the most well known people in your niche or industry and get their permission to use their name.
When you send your list an email about your products or services put the names of these people as well as yours on the same list. Subscribers will believe that you are an expert as well. Since your name is on this same list it will give you instant credibility.
How do I find the well known people in the industry? For example, if we are in Internet marketing the industry is so wide, but yet all and most aspects of Internet marketing are important parts of the industry such as list building and affiliate marketing.
I suppose you look at the well known affiliate marketing expert niche if you are selling affiliate marketing products as well as the SEO expert niche.
How do we know who are the right people in each niche? Should we search the search engines for things like "Affiliate expert" or "SEO expert" and look at the first or second page of Google search results?
Is it possible that you will find some people that claim to be experts, but really aren't? How do we figure out which people are real experts and which people are just fake?
Answer: Yes, you will come across people who claim to be experts in a certain niche, but really are not. To determine who is a real expert and who is a fake, I would recommend looking at their website. You should be able to tell by the construction and content on their site as to whether they are a fake or not. For example, if you are looking up an SEO expert's website and they are not in the top search engine results then they are not an SEO expert. Why? Because SEO experts know how to get to the top of the search engine results.
Don't always just look for experts. You also want to find people that your customers can relate to or are familiar in your niche. Check out people in your niche that are doing seminars. That will give you a good idea of experts and familiar names. You can also look at review sites in your niche. They will review experts in your niche.
In your niche, you should know who your competition is anyway. Why? You need to know who your competition is and what they are doing because they are the ones you're fighting with to grab customers. You want to know what they are doing. If they are successful then you can emulate their practices.
