We have two questions today. First, we'll talk about whether or not a newbie to the Internet can really turn it into a cash cow. Then we'll discuss whether audio or video converts better on your website.
Question #1: Can someone who has little or no marketing experience on the Internet really be successful in an Internet business?
Answer: Yes, absolutely. If you have no experience on the Internet then make sure you get used to FrontPage so you can design your site. However, you don't have to design it if you don't want to. You can outsource this task to a direct response copywriter. It is critical that the website is direct response savvy.
The core components you need to get your Internet business up and running include: a squeeze page, a sales letter,
Let's look at the squeeze page. It is important to craft it and publish it on the Internet as soon as possible. Why? The squeeze page is how you will start building your subscriber list. Then focus a significant portion of your time and energy on attracting traffic to that squeeze page. Traffic should take most of your time and energy because the more quality traffic you have, the higher chance you have of increasing your profit.
Here's my story of how I got started:
You don't have to be an expert to get started. You can find affiliate programs and promote other peoples products. I built a list and I started emailing out to the list regarding products in the affiliate programs. This is how I made my first million dollars.
Continually building my list was crucial. Why? I knew that if I had a list then I had people to market to. The more people you have to market to the better your chances are of earning more money. I found affiliate programs that matched what people on my list wanted. I did this religiously and made an excellent living.
Question #2: Do you find that audio and video convert differently? Does one convert better than the other?
Answer: The best way to answer this question is that you have to test it out to see which one works better. I know that you want a definitive answer, but I just can't give you one. It depends on too many factors.
However, the following is not a blanket statement, but I have found that video converts better than audio. But I have not found that video converts well on my squeeze page. Instead, video converts well on my sales letters. For example, if you need to explain something about a product in your sales letter that would be too difficult to communicate in writing then a video on your sales letter would be a better choice.
I haven't tested audio on my squeeze page in a long time, but video seems to be better on my sales letter. I'm hesitant to give you a definite answer because it depends on your niche, website, product, etc.
