There is all kind of things that can do destruction. A wildfire, for instance, will burn a house and a forest to the ground and can take these homes away from people and animals. A wildfire can get out of control fast just by spreading throughout towns and forests. Wildfires can wipe out many homes if it spreads and gets out of control or if the wind is blowing too much. If the fire gets too big, it can destroy thousands of acres in quickly and it can take the fire fighters days to put the fires out because the wildfire can spread in all directions. It feeds on everything that is around it, so it will get bigger. It is a living thing that feeds to survive.
It will burn up a tree like it is a match that has just been lit and leave nothing left but a charred and burnt piece of wood. It will spread like mad causing destruction for many things and lot of people and animals can die in the fires. Smoke will fill the air with gray and black clouds that have toxins in it, and it can get in your lungs and cause many problems. The smoke has carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxide, and carbon dioxide in it, which can harm the body and the air we breathe. It can cause your throat, eyes, and your nose to burn and it irritates the skin.
The fire will feel like it is burning your skin if you get near it because it will feel like a few hundred degrees. If it is really dry outside, it will cause a wildfire and it will burn and spread fast because there is no water in the plants, weeds, and grass. It will take thousands of gallons of water and flame retardant chemicals to put out the fires and it will be very hard to do it. They have to send up helicopters and small planes to dump the water and flame retardant chemicals on the wildfire.
Wildfires are very dangerous, and you need to protect yourselves from them. Protect your homes and your families to keep them safe. Wildfires can start anywhere in fields, forests, meadows, in your yards, and many other places. It can put people in hospitals with injuries from head to toe. Did you know that the smoke from fires can cause bronchitis? It can also cause you to have major breathing problems, and it can affect your health by hurting your lungs and doing damage to other parts of your body.
About the only thing you can really do to help protect your home from a wildfire is to keep the land around your home cleared. Keeping tree debris and brush cleaned up could help slow down a wildfire long enough for the fire department to wet things down and perhaps save your house. Hopefully the only damage you will get will be from smoke.
