After sweeping, collect and then dispose the dirt collected to garbage bag or nearest landfill to avoid accumulation of dirt and bacteria. Street flushing and sweeping should be done to the drainage to bring out pile of debris brought about by the snow. Winter in Ontario is very extreme. And this is a very challenging job for the Ministry of Transportation. Also with the use of mechanical sweeping or flushing greatly reduced airborne diseases or fugitive dusts. Do not take risks on the health of your family. City officials should have a good program in implementing regular flushing and sweeping especially on the main roads. The traveling public will benefit more on this if it is done properly. Reasons why this should be done are to have quality air, water and safety of both the motorists and the environment.
