I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for. But advertising isn't just about spending your money well, it's also about being smart! In the case of advertising and marketing your service, business, product or website - classified ads seem to be one of the most popular options nowadays. Not only is it incredibly cheap (or in most cases, free) but it's also easy to set up and you can join up with the Global Marketplace.
With being able to reach people globally, we now know that this can bring us more sales in the long run and this is quite obviously a very good thing! So it doesn't matter if you're in the US, post an ad in Germany, Spain, UK or even Australia. See what pops up.
You won't know until you test the waters out to see what comes from it, now will you?!? It doesn't matter what kind of business, service or website you have, you can utilize these free classified ad sites to your advantage.
Recently I did a few ads on a classified site just to see how well it would go over before I really got into it. I sent out approximately 3 ads in different categories relevant to my business and I received in turn about 100 replies from different people that were genuinely interested in what I had to offer.
Out of those 100 people I had about 50 people buy from me and 3 extraordinary business men and women who decided to work long-term with me on some very big projects. So while this doesn't cost money, and it does cost time (to place the ads) it is well worth the effort in the end. Even if you only get a handful of people interested, you paid nothing for the ad.
This is like free business only better because you hardly even worked for it. One thing I should mention though, some of these sites are incredibly strict with SPAM, as they should be. So be sure to follow the terms or you and your ad might just get deleted. What's the point in posting 10 spam ads, if they all get deleted?
There is no point! So just don't do it! Other than that, have fun making some awesome business contacts and some potentially could be prospects for the present or for the future. If you make a good impression (which I know you will) some of these people may even keep your contact info for later use. So even if they don't buy from you now, they certainly could in the near future!
