In our trying times, we need to cut back on everything, even our water usage. Some of the things could be watering our yard, trees, or gardens. We might cut back on the number of times we water our yards and then make sure that we only do this at night. The water will usually stay in the ground longer than during the day when it is very hot. When you can water your grass and plants when it is cooler, you have less risk of them getting burned as well. When there is a water restriction in place due to a drought, you will likely not be able to water at all or a very limited amount. You could even be fined by your local authority if you break the restriction or have your water shut off.
These bans are put in force to do just what they say, to conserve water and also to stop the waste of the water supply. The worse the water shortage gets, the longer the ban and the higher the fines. In some states, these bans could last several months or even longer. Droughts in some areas have been known to last for several years. If your state does not have a big rainy season, you will have these bans in place for quite some time. The droughts in some states keep getting worse every year. If you live in these states, you might want to buy yourself a good supply of bottled water in case things were to get really bad.
With bottled water, you can use it to cook your side dishes with. You can also use this water for making drinks like coffee, tea, or even drinks made from flavor crystals. Using bottled water this way will save you from running all of your water supply that you might want to save for showers or cleaning. Buying bottled water might not be something you really want to do, but in the future, if things continue on as they have been, it might become a necessity at times.
The weather patterns we have been experiencing that seem to be causing droughts in so many of our states are being blamed on the changes in our climate. The earth seems to be heating up and the reason for this is being debated all over the world. Some believe that it is just a natural cycle that takes places every so many years, but others believe that global warming is a direct result of mankind and the pollutions that we produce.
Hopefully, things will improve one way or another and our water supply will not be in jeopardy. In the meantime, we must do all that we can voluntarily to preserve and conserve. That means cutting down on pollution, and not just in the water, but in the air and the ground as well. We want water restrictions to be a temporary solution, not a permanent one.
