One of the most important things about having a business online, is the professional factor. This goes along with both your website, attitude, etiquette and the way you present yourself. Usually when posting ads on something like craigslist you will find that the ads can seem pretty darn dull and boring. But recently I was searching online for a way to spruce up my ads and I found a few wonderful programs that can help you achieve that plus so much more! These programs, or the ones that I found anyway, are completely free.
One site I stopped at had a very nice owner that was incredibly helpful which is a BIG plus! Now for the most part these ad sites I found will allow you to make three categorical ads; car, real estate and services. But I assume you could just as well use these category options for just about anything. It's quite simple to get started and some of these sites don't even have a sign up option so you can just do it, get it done and be on your merry way. Let's take a look at the layout of these ads and how they work so you can get a good idea beforehand:
First you must pick a layout/design. Here are a few samples on one site I found; blue, pink, green, black, sunny day, frosty, red bubbles. Now remember this is just the backdrop to the ad, you can change the content and a few other things.
Secondly you must do your content. This includes title, email, contact details, and ad content. For the ad content this site in particular has a FULL html editor which can be really nice when you aren't very good with codes and such!
The last part of this process is the photos. You will choose one main photo (I picked a logo pic for mine) and one or more extra pictures. Apparently you can add unlimited pics and they will shrink them down to size automatically. You will also be allowed to see a free preview of your ad as well, so you can either edit it or save it. In this case I'll choose to save it.
Now you will usually see three different options, all of which are some sort of coding available. The first option is linking code with picture, second is link code without picture and the third option is just a simple URL of the site you made the ad on which will allow you to direct people TO that link if you so choose to! Need help posting these codes to craigslist? No problem, these sites will also give you tutorials on how to do this.
Frankly, its super easy but if you're a newbie and you need help, it's here available for you! Once you post your ad, that's it. Just wait for the inquiries to come rolling in. Now you have a professionally made ad that's made to stand out and make YOU look more unique!
