I get this question a lot. "Come on you can tell us, is working at home REALLY that nice?" Why yes it is! In fact, I can really only think of one major negative aspect to working from home its called addiction. I don't think I have ever been "married" to my work so to speak.
When I was a Chef, I may have worked over-time while the boss was looking but I really couldn't wait to get home. Now I work from home and I work 20+ hours a day and I cant stop til everything is done. I suppose it gets that way when you have that dream for yourself - the American dream. Nice house, nice car, nice life, money in the bank, etc.
For the most part though, I really cant say anything incredibly negative about working from home. But everyone is different in this outlook so someone else who works from home might have a million different reasons. You get to work the hours you want. Wish you could spend time with your kids after they get home from school? No problem.
You get to take vacations and you get to have money to take those vacations. Want to travel the entire country of Europe for a month? Go for it. Even if you take your laptop, chances are you can still fit in a few hours before hitting the Louvre. Tired of having that annoying and sometimes malicious boss hanging over your shoulder? Not anymore.
But with freedom brings responsibility. So its your responsibility as the boss to make sure you stay on top of things. This means being organized! If you are organized then you better start in a quick hurry. Wish you had money in the bank to be able to not worry about money again?
Well with certain jobs online you could actually never worry about money ever again. But first you need to work hard, stay determined and stay patient. Making money in general never is quick. But making money from home isn't either (no matter who says it is quick). First you need to find a company or program to join up with or even if you do your own business - there must be plans made beforehand!
Then you have to write up a business plan of sorts. Even if its not super official, you should still have an idea of what you plan to do ahead of time! And lastly you have to remember that good things come to those who wait! While the aforementioned things are expected I really wouldn't consider them major hang ups so to speak.
I think working at home is a wonderful opportunity for any man or any woman to either make extra cash or to make their very own empire. Either way, its your responsibility to weigh some of the choices above, amongst others as well. Working from home isn't for everyone and it doesn't necessarily work for everyone. But if you put your best foot forward - who knows what it may bring to your life!
