For those of us that use craigslist a lot, we know that making customized ads by hand can be quite time consuming. Especially if you're someone like me and you have to do a lot of "previews" beforehand. This can take way too much time and frankly it's a little annoying. But alas I do have a solution for you and its one of the best things that you can use if you post ads on Craigslist. In fact, I am dubbing this "one of the best tools" because it really is useful and can save you loads of time. Plus, it's free.
Completely, 100% free. Now who doesn't like free stuff?!? I know I do! The tool I'm speaking of is called many things, but I like to consider it an auto-ad generator. And it's exactly what it sounds like it is. It's a way for YOU the poster to make customized ads by using an ad generator. These generators are really easy to use. You could make one ad (depending on your planning) in about 3-4 minutes and you could post it in about 25 seconds depending on how quick you are! Let's take a look at the THREE steps you must take to use this wonderful tool:
Firstly you must choose a design for the ad. Here are a few samples on one site I discovered; blue, pink, green, black, sunny day, frosty, red bubbles. Now remember this is just the backdrop to the ad, you can change the content and a few other things.
Second you must do your content. This includes title, e-mail, contact details, and ad content. For the ad content this site in particular has a FULL html editor which can be really pleasant when you aren't very good with codes and such!
The last part of this operation is the photos. You will choose one key photo (I selected a logo pic for mine) and one or more extra pictures. Apparently you can add endless pics and they will shrink them down to size automatically. You will also be allowed to see a free preview of your ad as well, so you can either edit it or save it. In this case, I'll choose to save it.
Now you will usually see three different alternatives, all of which are some sort of coding available. The first option is linking code with picture, second is link code without picture and the third option is just a simple URL of the website you made the ad on which will allow you to point people TO that link if you want to.
Some of you people may be a little hesitant about this. While it does sound easy, it may sound hard from getting it from html code on site to Craigslist and into a real ad. That's alright! These sites also include a tutorial for you as well. They give you concise steps on exactly how to post your ad, and they even give you little thumbnails to really allow you to see what goes where. This is time efficient, cost efficient, easy and best of all it could be your ticket to freedom. People like seeing new and unique things.
If they see the same old boring ad, they might just skip over it. But if they see your ad, with unique font, content, links, photos, design, etc. You just might have a fighting chance. And who doesn't love it when luck is on their side? Check these steps out, you won't be disappointed. I know I wasn't!
