It's something that the whole world has literally been waiting for and now it is set to become a reality. Michael Jackson has recently announced that he will be performing his last shows in London in what he called the final curtain call. Michael Jackson stated "These are my final shows and performances in London, I'll be playing the songs my fans want to hear," he told the audience, many of whom had been waiting for hours in the rain to hear the address. "This is it really it. This is the final curtain call. I'll see you in July and I love you from the bottom of my heart."
Him self and his promoters have indicated that although this will pocket him a huge amount of money, figures almost in the fifty million pounds mark, it will be a very upsetting time for all of his British fans as they have stated that he will never sing another note on UK soil again, but they have of course left the door open to tour elsewhere, as speculation circulates that he may go on his last world tour.
But could this really be the last we see of Jackson? As if the tour is done correctly then he could possibly launch himself again and produce some new albums and singles. To be honest at the press announcement I was expecting to see a frail Michael Jackson emerge and utter words such as this is my final gig, but he looked healthy and happy and actually looked like he could pull of another World Tour and possibly re launch his career.
I myself am a big fan of Michael Jackson and he still has an amazing fan base that will probably travel from around the world to see him perform at the o2 arena in London. In total there are around 20,000 tickets, they are priced between fifty pounds and seventy five pounds, available for each O2 Arena show. They are expected to sell out in seconds when they go on sale at 7am on Friday, March 13 2009.
If Michael Jackson can actually pull off one of the most amazing come backs in musical history then we could be, come this time next year see him dominating the charts again. I mean who can argue the fact that his music is outstanding? Classics like Billie Jean, Thriller and Beat It will never get old.
