I complained too much. That's what my husband says now. And because I was up all night, he was up, too. My husband could sleep through the loudest snores, so my complaints weren't the ones keeping him awake. It was that he really was worried that I was on my second trimester and I wasn't getting any sleep at all! Who would have thought that all those nights, all I needed was a maternity pillow?
You may realize that as you approach the latter parts of your pregnancy, simple activities such as sleeping become difficult as the physical changes manifest. The pressure of the weight brought about by your wonderful bulging belly creates pressure around your legs, your sides and your back as you try to sleep. Thankfully the [maternity pillow] has been invented so that you wouldn’t need to continually surround yourself with numerous shifting pillows, constantly readjusting them through the night.
{Now that I am aware of what those big pillows are, I went back to my local home store and checked out the different styles and shapes, and found out what a good maternity pillow should have:|
A C-shaped [maternity pillow] provides perfect support for the neck and props up the head nicely to aid in breathing. You also could turn the [maternity pillow] to go around in front of you so it provides support for your belly. You can also use it the other way around, to provide support for your back. You can also bend or twist in various ways while reading, watching TV, or even breastfeeding after giving birth.
• U or V shaped pillow – This big maternity body pillow can be used to support the abdomen and align your hips when you are sleeping on your side. This pillow basically cradles the sleeper and provides additional back support, making it the most wanted among pregnant women.
• Cylinder full body pillow – This is the most popular shape among all maternity pillows. Like its name, it is shaped like a long cylinder, usually as long as your body. It can be used in front of the body, under the abdomen and sometimes between the legs at the same time.
Lastly, all women don’t get a good night sleep during the nine months of pregnancy. Their nights are accompanied by all sorts of body aches and giving their husbands a hard time worrying about them. Fortunately a U-shaped maternity pillow can help ease the pain with its ability to apply comfort in the most common areas of distress from the back to the belly and also between the legs. Good luck
