Students around the world are suffering from the tuition dilemma. Many students feel that escaping this tremendous weight is impossible and will simply give up on their dreams of getting a college education. Students should not, however, give up so easily, as many resources exist that allow students to earn the money necessary to put themselves through college and earn the college degree as they had always dreamed they would.
When college tuition is the only thing stopping them from earning a college degree, the resilient student will never back down. They have fought hard through high school, studied, wrote their papers, participated in clubs and sports and have put a great deal of importance on getting into school. College acceptance letter in hand, many students still find getting through that college tuition barrier a difficult task that may seem close to impossible for many. Students are always able to find new ways of earning money for college, even when it means taking a part-time job or internship to make ends meet.
Some students may be turned off by the prospect of getting a part-time job or a college internship to help with their expenses so that they can attend college. They know that college will be tough, or already know first-hand, and do not see themselves committing to more responsibility and time consuming work. Some people even advise against getting a job while in school or are forbidden by their parents. What these people do not understand, or do not want to understand, is that having a college internship will actually help supplement the student's education and give them new experiences that could possibly even allow them a better understanding of what they are studying. These are the things few people hear about when they talk about internships.
Students sometime go through college with a cluttered mind, only going to class, thinking about class and occasionally 'escaping' to certain on campus activities. College is supposed to be a time for opening new doors and listening to new ideas, so students should not spend all their free time on campus. Campuses can be diverse places, but limiting themselves to what is on campus prohibits them from experiencing other things in the world or in their communities. Other than college tuition payments, college internships have other benefits that some people do not mention.
Being able to escape from campus for a few hours a week will more than likely have a positive effect on the student's ability to study and clear their mind. Students sometime believe that to pass a test or a class, they must study for hours on end with little to no breaks. While this may work for some students (and not very many for that matter), most students need to find other ways of studying. Maybe studying in shifts or walking away completely for a few hours. Clearing their head of their books and of their college tuition worries, students will find that having a college internship has numerous benefits.
