Everyone likes receiving gifts especially the children. Offering a gift to someone is a meaningful action, which is the giver's wish for the receiver. It is not too difficult for the adult to buy the children some gifts but it is not easy to know exactly what gift each child can benefit from the most.
If I had a chance to buy a gift for the children, my choice would be a computer. The computer has become very popular nowadays as it brings many advantages and makes many things in life much easier. Therefore, it is essential to let the children approach information technology by giving them a computer.
First, using a computer makes the children develop their abilities. With the rich variety of games, children can start with following the steps in the games. This helps their brain in action and makes them think logically.
In addition, playing games develops other abilities of the children such as patience, quick reaction and attention. The ability to use computer skills depends much on the age. The same with learning a foreign language, learning how to use a computer at the early age is the most effective way to become good at it.
Moreover, the children can learn an endless variety of knowledge from the Internet. Without even a teacher, children can learn how to sing, how to draw and how to paint online. They also can google their questions or wonders that even their parents cannot answer. Computers also help the children know more about the outside world and give them a great opportunity to explore.
Second, the computer and internet seem to be indispensable at schools in this high tech era. Sooner or later, the children will be taught how to use a computer during their lessons. By using the computer at home ahead, the children get used to approaching computers more easily. With the development of modern life, many schools change their teaching programs with computers to save time and energy for both teachers and students.
Computer technology helps the children to do their homework faster and more correctly. They can type their assignments into the computer, quickly check the grammatical mistakes, correct them then print the homework out or send it to their teacher's email. Furthermore, many schools nowadays apply educational programs on the internet to teach the children. Therefore, the little students can learn the theory first then practice it immediately afterwards. This method of teaching helps the children to understand the lesson easily, quickly and effectively. In addition, by studying with images, the children can best in mind or remember their lesson for a long time.
Finally yet importantly, giving the children a gift a computer is a long-term investment for their future. Toys can make little boys excited and use them for some days; nice clothes can make little girls happy and wear it for some months or candies can make them happy for a little while but a computer is a good preparation for the children's knowledge their whole life.
