High Achievers Are Winners. Are You A High Achiever?

If you wish to be successful you need to be goal oriented, a winner, and a high achiever. Here are some pointers to achieving that goal.

A winner is a person who works hard in their career to achieve their desired goal. They look at business as a serious enterprise. Work and play are a balance but to succeed they put in some hard work.

Winners wake up with the thought that today I will achieve a certain goal that they have set, then go out, work at it, and in the end do achieve it. Their positive outlook, a belief that they can reach the goal, and never think that they can't is a recipe to achievement.

Achievers know how to manage time to reach their goals; they split their jobs in small, easy, achievable tasks. They focus on one task at a time and give priority to it before moving on to the next task. They don't give up half way through the task, they complete it then move on to the next task.

They recognize the necessity of co-operation with co-workers, superiors and business acquaintances. Therefore they treat each other with respect, and expect their colleagues to do the same. A healthy business relationship is vitally important and should create a harmonious business environment.

Good planning and goal setting for short-term and long term periods give flexibility to their plans. Set out your goals on paper, put them in order of priority and as soon as you've completed the task tick it off and proceed with the next.

A person who is goal oriented will also have back-up strategies in place should the need arise. Incorporate your back-up plans into your goal schedule. Think them out and have them ready. You don't have time to waste thinking of a back-up plan when you have not reached a certain goal. You need to be prepared at all time for all contingencies.

Change is an opportunity to meet a challenge, in order to meet the challenge you need to be flexible. You need to recognize when you have to change a strategy in order to reach certain goals. People who want to get to the top are always ready to meet a challenge and to be flexible in their ways of achieving them.

Risk is part and parcel of the package of being an achiever. Without risk you would fear to go forward to meet that challenge. Achievers grab opportunities to climb up the ladder and are not afraid to move forward to get it. They don't go blindly and take wild risks, they always evaluate the situation and based on their findings will go ahead.

Taking responsibility when you make a mistake is an important part of being a high achiever. If you make a mistake, evaluate it, see where you went wrong, then go ahead and correct it. One of the best ways to learn is to make mistakes and move forward with new confidence that the next time you will get to the goal you are aiming for.

Edison did not give up at the first failure with his light bulb, he succeeded after several attempts. "Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration." - Thomas Alva Edison. You need to put that ninety-nine percent perspiration into your achievements.

Teamwork is another important part of being successful. Be prepared to not only share the work load but also to share the credit with your co-workers and superiors. This can only be done if you are in constant collaboration with each other.

High achievers delegate the work load, and show appreciation when the task is completed satisfactorily. Without the co-operation of your work colleagues you could not reach the goal aim for.
High achiever are well aware of their contribution to the success of the business, are proud and happy to do their job. They also like to be appreciated for the work that they put into making a business a success.

Romantic relationships in a business are not good business practice, getting romantically involved with a work colleague could put your career in jeopardy. It's always a good idea to keep your relationship with your fellow colleagues, superiors and customers on a business footing.

If a high achiever wants to succeed they never take anything for granted. They work hard and cultivate a good business environment. In order to succeed they work hard at building relationships with their employers and they also look at previous business relationships and make use of them in their business environment.

To be a winner is a lifetime commitment, long hours and plenty of planning are the keys to success. Do you measure up to these pointers, test yourself and work on areas that you feel you don't measure up. We wish you every success
