The story of Amy Winehouse is really quite sad, she at the end of the day is and incredibly talented singer. They call what she has a god given talent and whether you believe in god or not there is no doubting that she has an amazing voice. It really is sad how far she has come and how deep her depression and reliance on drugs has become.
At the tender age of 19 she started her professional music career and very soon thereafter met Blake Fielder. This no talent drug head is the guy that introduced her to the drug world and in the end has caused much if not all of her existing problems. She at the end of the day is responsible for her own actions but there is no doubt this jerk has impacted her life in a truly negative way.
Much of her problems stem from being incredibly insecure which is probably the reason most people use drugs of any sort. While all of these problems where happening Amy managed to release her second album Back to Black, this record really put her on the map and in the end earned her an amazing 5 Grammy's out of six nominations. Given her drug problems she was unable to be in Hollywood for the big event and performed a live concert from England at 4am because of the time change. She not only one 5 awards that night many regarded her performance as a show saver. She was the highlight there is no doubt!
So what does the future hold for this bright star? The sky really is the limit as far as her potential is concerned, she needs mental help and really does need to rehab despite what the song says. If she can get the help she needs and avoid Blake like the plague I think she has a fighting chance.
I have to say the music world really does need her! There is way too much crap that hits the radio these days, 99% of everything you here on top 40 radio is complete rubbish. Her voice has been accepted by the masses and the music is amazing. Somehow this troubled gal has been able to bring great jazz and true R&B back to the masses and I think it's time someone finally did! Her success personally is not only good for her own health but good for the health of the music industry! Get better Amy.
