Specialized boots: Boots, such as steel toe ones, are essential footwear for any worker who is at risk of having a heavy piece of machinery or equipment fall on their feet. They are especially resistant to rips and tears also and can handle just about any kind of terrain or work environment. Most designs also feature deep tread on the soles that are designed to provide traction in wet or icy conditions.
Protective sleeves: Specially constructed sleeves are versatile protective items of clothing that are appropriate for all kinds of workplaces. They are usually constructed from Kevlar, leather, and even cotton. Leather flame-retardant ones are most often used by welders to safeguard their arms against accidental burn due to sparks or contact with a torch. Cotton ones are comfortable protection from cuts and chaffing from the repetitive handling of sharp objects.
Hard hats: This common form of safety wear has protected millions of heads from concussion, blunt injury, even death. Most workers (and non-workers) cannot even set foot on a construction site without a hard hat, and it's simply a folly not to wear one in potentially hazardous situations. The newest designs are more comfortable than ever, offering softer chin straps and better fit while maintaining their exterior toughness and protection.
All employers should constantly monitor their workforce to make sure their valuable employees are always wearing their protective gear: it just makes good sense.
