- Digital Products - By far the easiest and fastest model to employ, you can have a digital product available for sale in literally minutes. Many people don't want to do this, so creating (or having some one else create) an e-book, report or video sales letter can be done very quickly and inexpensively.
- Physical Products - If you have an idea for a physical product, you can have it manufactured and sell it online. This route is more expensive and time-consuming, but if you have something the world wants... This can also include a physical course, packaged as books and DVDs, for example. This can be sold for much more money than a mere downloadable e-book.
- A Combination of Both! - Many people combine the two, and offer both the download and physical product, or use the physical product as an upsell on the back end. This can be a very lucrative way to market, because if your visitors have purchased one item from you, they are far more likely to keep the credit card out and opt for the whole enchilada!
- A Membership Site - This one can truly become a goldmine for you, since if you are able to craft an interesting and popular membership site, you'll have recurring passive income for months to come from that same customer. Studies show that people stay on membership sites for an average of 3-6 months, and during that time you've managed to acquire even more members. You have to create the content, of course, but even that can be outsourced.
- A Coaching Club - All the rage in the last year or so. People want to cut through all the noise and get to the heart of the matter from the horse's mouth, so to speak. If you have managed to garner some expertise that someone will pay you for, then creating a coaching club, whether it be delivered online or in person, could be a highly profitable way to go. Some coaching gurus charge in the thousands of dollars, and this too is an ongoing source of income.
As you can see, product creation for your Internet business can take many forms, some quicker than others, and some very much more lucrative than others.
