The most popular protein shake at the moment is a protein shake based on whey. It is formed by putting milk through extra extraction processes to increase the whey.
This type of protein shake is easily digestible and absorbable. It is therefore a common protein shake within the health and fitness community.

Another benefit of whey protein is that it supports a healthy immune system as it encourages the production of glutathione - an amino acid that has antioxidant properties that help your immune system.
Another popular protein shake is based on casein. A typical casein protein shake is has a higher concentration than whey. It is a protein that can stop your muscles from degenerating through big workouts as it contains glutamine, an amino acid that can also support your immune system.

One of my personal favorite whey protein shakes is BSN true-mass. It tastes great, is easily soluble and has approximately 40gm of protein per serving, which is rather high. Boditronics profusion reloaded is another protein shake that’s quite high on my list. It’s a shake with a comparably high level of protein as the BSN protein shake. Its strong point is that it has a lower calorie level than the BSN protein shake, so if you are trying to lose weight it may be the better option for you. I also think the flavor of it is good.
My favorite casein protein shake is done by Reflex Nutrition. It has a great taste and does the job well.
