Some people were never really fans of the plain, dull brown envelope. They always liked the idea of a sleek, clean colour that could look official without being boring. Much like a white envelope, in fact.
And even for informal letters, it just never seemed quite right to use any colour but white. Why? Because white is a neutral colour: it can never be confused for being too girly or manly like when certain varied colors are used. With these envelopes, you’ll be sending the right message and making the right impression!
It’s not always so easy to make the correct choices when it comes to stationery: what colour of paper to use, the quality and thickness, and even the colour of font! Or, if it’s a handwritten letter, the colour of the ink used! Choices, choices! But with changing times, when it comes to envelopes, the trend is leaning towards picking white envelopes as the right pick.
They usually come in square shapes or rectangle shapes, with or without sealing. It doesn’t matter whether it’s for business or home use, this shade of white is reliable for giving your correspondence just the right touch it needs to send the right message.
Speaking from a personal point of view, I think I’d be happier to receive more mail in white envelopes than otherwise. I believe my eyes just light up with interest when I notice a white envelope in my mailbox. I don’t know why – it’s probably to do with the fact that it seems the sender made just the extra effort needed to show they put thought into sending the mail or card.
I always have a stack of white envelopes waiting around. Well, actually keep them especially in my stationary box! They’re sort of like my style secret; something to stand me apart when I send that letter, whether to a friend or to a business contact. That way, I don’t need to keep two different colors of envelopes for my mail. I really foresee that in time, brown envelopes will be gradually phased out as people get used to ordering more and more of the white variety.
Something tells me it’s already happening. What if, right now, people out there already know that white is the new brown when it comes to envelopes? I mean, who makes or manufactures other color anyway? Definitely, the market for white envelopes is much bigger than any other variety in the industry. Trust me, I checked.
So, what have you decided? Are you totally convinced, and are you considering changing your stationery preferences (as to envelopes) to white? Or are you still worried about the odd finger-print smudge, or about the fact that white is almost transparent sometimes? I think if you’re careful about sending your letters with the care and detail I put into mine, you’ll have no issues with stains or see-through envelopes! It’s just something to really think about.
Well, go right ahead, make those new orders. I’m sure that once you start on the idea of sticking with this suggestion I have put forward, you’ll actually get to love it. I know, I’m much too into the little things: I really care about small details and I take the time to do every little thing just right. Some say it’s a bit of a bad habit, but I believe it’s simply doing something right the first time around so you wouldn’t have to go do it again!
Now that I’ve got to the end of my expose, I’ll just like to add that I’ve got a whole stack of New Year letters and cards to send out. And you can just guess what sort of envelope packaging they’ll be getting posted in – yes indeed, in a white envelope!
