Curly hair needs special care to maintain the luster and health that is required to make it look good. Avoid trends of the 1980s that involved heavy styling products that not only damage that hair but also make it look hard and plastic and feel stiff and crispy! Those that are lucky enough to have healthy locks, no matter what color or length they are, need to show them off, not hide them under tons of gel and hairspray. Also be careful when using color too much will damage the strands turning even the most luscious looking mane into something that looks like it went through electric shock therapy. Using products that are protein and vitamin enriched that are designed for extra moisture are probably your best bets for maintaining healthy curly hair that shines and is strong.
