If you're like most of the other drivers on the road today you've had enough of paying an arm and a leg to keep your gas tank full. Although last summer's gas inflation extravaganza seems to have gone, the damage it's left behind will take much longer to clear up. Fortunately, you have the secret weapon that will allow you to save money on gas sitting right in your driveway-your car.
How does your car help you save money on gas? First and foremost, a car in good working order will always use less gas than a car that's been allowed to fall into disrepair, so regardless of how old your car is (or what its Kelley Blue Book value happens to be) it's important to make sure it gets the regular maintenance it deserves. Be sure to change your oil and air filter every 3,000 miles, and keep your tires properly inflated.
Think of your car as an Olympic distance runner. It won't be long before researchers find a way to work around the problems that having a fully electric car presents, but until then hybrids offer drivers a great solution to spending hundreds of dollars at the pumps each year.
In today's society having a personal vehicle is almost essential (unless you happen to live in a small town where walking everywhere is a feasible option and grocery delivery service is still available). That doesn't mean you should have to pay the price of technology by spending too much money on fuel. Your car was designed to help you save money on gas. Isn't it time you took advantage of that?
