Getting over a break up is hard and it's like getting away from an old habit. All the emotions you are feeling at the moment are very overwhelming and all you wanted to do is to escape them but in reality you really can't.
Many times we hear that getting over a past relationship needs time since healing the heart requires distance and space from the past relationship. But this does not necessarily mean that we also have to distance ourselves from everyone.
It is unhealthy to shut your doors to everybody and be alone as much as possible. It is understandable though that during the first days after the break-up you wanted some time alone to mourn over what you feel. It is better to cry and shout if necessary just to ease the pain inside. But once you are done with the crying, you need to talk to somebody, a friend maybe, about your situation.
Talking to someone can really make you feel better. It also reminds you that you are loved and not alone. When we are into a serious relationship, we tend to forget our friends and family. But they are always there whenever we needed them so do not be afraid to open up your feelings to them.
Another way to get over a break-up is to forget the past and do not expect your relationship to come back. The past is past and it is better to forget it. Acceptance is the only way to relieve the pain and to finally move on. This may be hard to do but when you have all the will and strengths to do it, you will realize that though it is hard, it is worth it.
Do not ever take revenge on your past relationship. Like said earlier, leave the past. Getting back is not the answer. As much as possible, keep all your anger and range away and focus on positive things.
One of the effective things to do when getting over a break-up is to be creative and be busy. You should try reliving your likes and hobbies. If you like to paint, then start painting. The Arts is another way to express how you feel and it can be a very good exercise to remove away your stress.
During your free time, you should also be able to do productive things like getting a make-over for your room or getting a new look for your hair. You may also do shopping with your friends. Hanging out with your friends can also help since you never know who you would be meeting during those dates with your friends.
A break-up is really hard. It is normal that we feel left out and alone at first. But then we should be able to release ourselves from that chain and be a positive thinker. We should learn that life has more wonderful things to offer and we should try to spend each day to live our lives the best we could.
The bottom line here is it is not the end of the world when a loved one broke-up with you. There are many ways you can enjoy life and there is definitely someone who deserves you better.
