Finding someone you love and care about when you're a teenager is great: There's no better feeling than young love, there is no doubt about that. Finding someone who truly understands you and fits with you in every way is really a feeling you can only get as a teenager. And luckily for you, if you're one of those teens who has found love, you have gone from the many teenagers dating to the few who actually have a relationship. The unfortunate fact of the matter is, statistically teenage relationships don't last long into adulthood. Most of the time, either him or her grows out of it and finds other interests or moves away to a college far away from where the other is going. Sad but true. As a teenager, you need to be aware of your limits due to your age. Yes, you're head over heels in love and there's nothing anyone can do about it, but you need to try to keep your head firmly planted on your shoulders and not get ahead of yourself unless you want to get disappointed at some point later on. Keep in mind that things might not work out no matter how hard you try or how in love you are now -- things change, that's the best way to put it. You are going to change and so is your boyfriend or girlfriend. So keep that head on your body as tightly as possible.
The best piece of teenage relationship advice I can give you is to treat your boyfriend or girlfriend the way they treat you. If they're not warming up to your affectionate ways, don't force them on your partner. On the flip side, if they're very affectionate, be the same way. Find a happy medium and work with it, either way. Enjoy your love for as long as possible and treasure it more than anything in the world. You're going to look back on it later on, whether you're still with the person or not, and remember it fondly like everyone else does. Love, no matter what age you are, is a beautiful thing. Even if it doesn't go exactly as planned.
