You should make sure that your keyboard is dusted and that there are no crumbs or anything in it. It follows the same principle of not eating or drinking around the computer. The dust can get inside of the keyboard and short it out. You should also be sure to clean out the inside of your mouse, because if dust starts to build up inside of it, it can become difficult to use it.
