The information is accessible by various people, namely those who are working on the project.
A project management software can be implemented and used as a web application, or can run on the desktop of each user, or used at home, or set up as a single-user, collaborative or integrated system. The desktop application usually allows for the user to save files and documents, with some being able to store the data on a central location with collaborative users.
Personal project management software is usually used to manage lifestyle functions or home projects, and only requires a simple interface. A single-user system assumes that only one person will need to edit any project plans, with collaborative user systems do the opposite. The latter being more complicated to set up. An integrated system works on the basis of combining all aspects of company with project management or project planning. This can include bug tracking on all projects, putting individual task lists, calendars and messaging feature with each project.
