The joy of parenting is most imminent when a baby is born. Mom is exhausted but totally up to look at her baby. The dad is scared to death but still anxious to hold the baby. There are many various things that parents may give to their baby at that moment - a smile, advice, love and most of all, a name. Choosing the right baby name is usually not an not difficult task. Of course, a great baby name will be one thats important to you in some sort of way. This might be the name of a loved one, or it could be some thing that you encountered that you think may be a fitting baby name. Something you have to figure out past what you like about the name though is whether or not your baby is going to enjoy being known as that. You might love Jello a whole lot, but that doesn't suggest your baby should be called Jello Flavor Smith. Even if you dont see a problem with people saying stuff to your baby, you have to look at the self-esteem troubles that could result from constant teasing.
Beyond the appropriateness, a good baby name will also be unlike other names. That doesn't suggest that the classic names aren't fine to use, but if you're truly looking for an awe factor, you need to think a little outside the box. That might mean that you have to choose a foreign name or some entity that is not truly a name in the first place. Just make sure that it is fitting and youll be good to go.
