This is a outstanding year for Gucci. Frida Giannini's unveiling amazing collections this year so far, which include everything from shoes to purses and from clothes to iTouch cases. The Gucci Resort 2009 especially is looking promising, since it brings a combination of hippy and nautical flairs to the runway.
The clothes give off a 1970s vibe, and a few stand-outs include: seashell scarf prints, white blouses, and patchwork suede jackets. Yup, it looks as if gypsy dresses, thigh high smocks, and disco blouses are back, and Frida Giannini cited Jane Birkin and Talitha Getty as her inspiration for the Resort 2009 Collection.
Indeed, Gucci has a few really elegant looks this year. The colors are a reflection autumn, thus we can expect to see a great deal of Gucci style this fall. Brown, orange, and white are three colors we can all anticipate to see a good deal of in the coming months. The models look as if theyve literally stepped right out of a time machine from the 70's. Even people who do not care for hippy or disco fashion will find a lot of of the clothes and bags to be attractive.
As for the handbags, the 2009 fall collection looks to be pretty predictable. There are some notable exceptions that will certainly be stand outs, such as the Sukey Guccissima Leather Tote. The gold GG logo is adorned attractively on this double-handled leather bag. It's gorgeous, svelte, and a little on the inexpensive side for a Gucci bag.
Another bag that will look great this fall is the New Jackie Shoulder Bag. The traditional GG logo looks wonderful embossed in the leather, and the overall pattern is casual, yet appealing. The Guccissima Shoulder Bag in particular looks good with its soft gray color. The gray will look great with just about everything, especially with some of the Resort 2009 Collection designs coming out in the coming months.
