Your eyes work hard and they require time to recuperate from the chronic strain you put them under. The muscles attached to your eyes are the same at any other muscle tissue in that regard. They need rest and it's up to you to be sure they get it.

These behavior carried over for your adult life and now you do the same thing at work all day long.

Your body gives you signals whenever you have to have rest. Whenever you spend too much time doing chores around the house, your back starts to hurt and your arms become tired. You just want to sit a bit in your favorite chair and have a rest, put your feet up. In the same manner, your eyes notify you when they need a rest, as well. You may well experience a headache, your eyes start to burn or water, or you could possibly experience a twitch in one or both eyes. This really is your eyes telling you they are tired and need a rest.

There are several exercises you are able to do that particularly rest the eyes and strengthen eyesight. An example of these is known as "sunning." Face the sun, eyes closed.
