So, since hypnosis just creates an altered state of mind, and since hypnosis revolves around the power of suggestion, hypnosis can be practiced in many different ways as a tool to change people's behavior. For these reasons, hypnosis is used both therapy and the art of persuasion.
The style of hypnosis that is used for the power of persuasion is known as covert hypnosis. Covert hypnosis, like all other forms of hypnosis, uses the power of suggestion to get results. However, because this form of hypnosis is covert, the suggestions that you'll be planting in people's minds will be far more indirect than the suggestions that are installed in people's minds through therapeutic hypnosis.
Covert hypnosis also uses all types of suggestion. This means that covert persuasion uses non verbal suggestions just as much if not even more than it employs verbal suggestions. There can be nothing as covert and under the radar as suggesting something to a person without having to even speak a word to them.
The verbal forms of suggestion that covert persuasion uses are also difficult to identify. So, instead of saying something to somebody directly, you will be saying it to them indirectly to the point where it will not be evident to the person whom you are speaking to that you're actually suggesting to them that they do something that you want them to do. This is why covert persuasion is perfect to integrate into the art of mind control, because you can modify people's emotions and decision making processes without them being aware of it. This means it is not likely anyone will attempt to resist you because they will not have any idea that that there are any suggestions for them to resist.
Another covert persuasion tactic that can be used is to control social environments. By taking control of social environments, you will appear as an authority figure. When you appear to others as an authority figure, your social value increases to the point where people become far more suggestible so that you can get what you would like from them.
